Rebel Garages

We are working with Future Firm’s Craig Reschke and Ann Lui, in collaboration with the Chicago Architecture Foundation, on the design of their book Rebel Garages: An Open Letter to Chicago which examines the Chicago alley system, and the garages that line them, as space existing between public and private, individual and community. Rebel Garages documents unique garage spaces, reimagines the Chicago alley as a civic project, and investigates at both the individual and urban scale the ways we shape the city and its architecture.
